2 days until Croftmas: first sneak peek at a snood kit!

Good morning,

I have been (and still am!) beavering away, preparing for Saturday’s fair in Crofton Park among other things; sadly that leaves little time to write anything much at the moment but I thought I’d give you a preview of the cabled snood kit that myself and Nicky of The White Room will be selling on the day.  The pattern has been inspired by traditional Aran cables and textures; the kit has been designed for anyone with a grasp of basic knitting techniques, i.e. casting on/off, knit and purl, and would like try cabling for the first time…or even anyone who can knit and might like the look of the snood!

Both this kit, and the crocheted one you’ll get a glimpse of tomorrow, have been designed in Rowan Cocoon.  Cocoon knits up on 7mm needles so any project calling for this yarn is satisfyingly quick to make.  The snood takes only two balls of yarn so is ideal as a Christmas present for a budding knitter even if you aren’t one yourself.

More tomorrow!
