Supporting Independent Knitting Research and Educational Resources

This is my garden studio; the burning hearth of this one-woman show. It’s also where I invite you into my virtual home, where you can find a seat at the table, and support me in a way that suits you.
You can donate once using the form below, or scroll for more long-term options and discover the community spaces. Everything goes towards free resources and educational offerings for knitters and knitwear designers.
Just to say thank you, or maybe treat me to a hot chocolate – I’m glad that my writing helped or resonated with you. It’s why I keep going 🙂

Help the Garden Grow | My Community Spaces
Creating free resources, deep-dive research pieces, and specialist tutorials is a labour of love – much like tending the perennial borders you see in my photos, newsletters, and Instagram feed.
To help keep my blog free for everyone and blooming with new content, I’d like to invite you to become a Pollinator.

Support Independent Knitting Research and Tutorials | Choose From:
Seedling

You’ll be credited on every blog post (look out for your name in the footer), and you can suggest or request topics for posts or YouTube tutorials.
Sapling

Everything the Seedlings get, plus a quarterly newsletter and video roundup. AND — what’s in the pipeline for the coming season.
Blossom

All the Seedlings’ and Saplings’ goodies, plus a 10% discount on knitting patterns, the Perennial Pass community, and Topical Thursday classes.
Whether you enjoy my writing, designs, or educational offers, this is where you both can spend more time with me and help me to bring it all together. The Potting Shed is the main outlet for the independent knitting research I do (apart from my taught courses).

Why Pollinate?
In nature, pollinators are the quiet-but busy-buzzy heroes that make growth possible. By supporting the blog, you aren’t just giving me a pat on the back. You’re providing the sunlight and water (research time and materials) required for the free articles and tutorials you see here. Publicly, I’ve maintained a writing practice for a long time. My archive goes all the way back to 2014!
Not everyone can afford to join my courses. I definitely relied a lot upon free resources until I was able to make the leap and commit financially to my goals. And now that this is very much part of how I keep a roof over my head (not to mention the plants thriving), I want to make sure that I create an ecosystem that’s circular, not extractive.

How it Works
Your Contribution to My Independent Knitting Research
I’ve kept it as simple as possible. You can choose a one-off sprinkle, or a monthly feast of nectar. Regardless of the amount, every Pollinator has a voice in what I create next. You’ll have a direct line to suggest blog topics or YouTube questions.
