Icicle legwarmers

£7.50

Drapey DK legwarmers with panelled lace patterning. This knitting pattern includes calf and ankle shaping to fit your legs beautifully.

Description

I have always loved the idea of lace knitted legwarmers, so here’s my take on this accessory!  The Icicle legwarmers feature the same lace panelled pattern as the Cold Shoulder sweater, but they are worked in scrumptious Keswick DK from Eden Cottage Yarns.  This beautiful snuggly fabric strikes a delicate balance between practicality and stitch definition.

I chose this yarn especially for its unique combination of body, lustre and drape. The soft pink of Meadow Rue is very easy on the eye too!  If you’ve been looking at non-mohair alternatives for my other patterns, welcome!  The Nippy headband, Shiver cowl and Bitten gloves will look gorgeous in any of the Eden Cottage Yarns.

These legwarmers are equally at home on the sofa, yoga mat, in the dance studio, or paired with boots for a walk in the park.  Optional ankle shaping provides additional comfort for hardworking muscles, ideal when you’re moving around.  Icicle’s slouchy silhouette also creates an extra pocket of warmth when pulled right up to the knee.

Four sizes are offered for Icicle, ranging from a 32cm/12.5in calf to a 56cm/22in calf.  Instructions are given for working flat and in the round, so you can choose your favoured construction method.  The pattern also includes fitting guidance and customisation notes so that you can achieve a good fit.
