Knitting Patterns Easy On the Eyes and Hands

My surface pattern designs strike a perfect balance between the ease of stocking stitch (also known as stockinette) and the showmanship of enduring handknitted favourites.  I believe you should be able to enjoy the unique beauty of knits while still savouring your favourite pastimes, whether that’s watching TV, enjoying the company of loved ones, or even catching a baseball game – because you can!

That’s why I include plenty of plain rows or easy-to-memorise pattern repeats.  I appreciate our sofa time too, and I knit all my own samples to fully immerse myself in the design process and empathize with knitters like you who choose our patterns.  My job doesn’t stop once the pattern is written.  In fact, I often write or revise patterns as I knit the samples you see in the photographs.
